It seems to be a small city with an average population. It resembles the real world on the surface, and the everyday humans in Karakura are unaware of the ghosts and spiritual forces with which the plot concerns itself. Karakura Town is referred to as District 3600 by the Shinigami and is situated on the current "juureichi" - the point in the Human World that possess the greatest concentration of spiritual beings.
The Saito Shop is owned by Kalmora Saito and sells various items from Soul Society. Kalmora and his allies usually come here to train or discuss plans on how to defeat an enemy.
This is where the Vizards stage meetings, battle plans, and training exercises. They also use this the warehouse as a place to spend their days, and most of all, relax.
